Advancing knowledge through quality scholarly publishing. Explore research, ideas, and publications that connect Mindanao scholarship with national and global audiences.
The MSU-IIT Press brings together scholars, editors, and publishing professionals committed to advancing rigorous, relevant, and accessible scholarship from Mindanao to the world. As the scholarly publishing arm of MSU-IIT, the Press combines strong editorial and peer-review standards with an openness to interdisciplinary, locally grounded, and globally engaged knowledge.
The MSU-IIT Press was established in 2026 as the official scholarly publishing arm of the Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology. Following its endorsement by the MSU-IIT Management Committee, its establishment was formally approved by the Mindanao State University Board of Regents through Resolution No. 113, s. 2026. Conceived as an institutional platform for high-quality scholarly publishing, the Press seeks to consolidate MSU-IIT’s scholarly identity, showcase its intellectual leadership, and ensure that knowledge produced within and beyond the University reaches wider national and international audiences.
The MSU-IIT Press aspires to become a leading scholarly publisher and a respected voice in Mindanao and Philippine scholarship, advancing socially responsive knowledge across science and technology, the humanities, and the arts. Through scholarly monographs, edited volumes, textbooks and reference works, academic journals, research reports, and special publications, the Press promotes rigorous, ethical, and locally grounded scholarship with national and global relevance.
Central to its mission is strengthening MSU-IIT’s leadership in Mindanao Studies, peace scholarship, community-engaged research, and regional and Indigenous scholarship, while making knowledge accessible to scholars, policymakers, industry partners, communities, and the wider public through print, digital, and open-access platforms
The MSU-IIT Press is home to the University’s four peer-reviewed academic journals, bringing together scholarship across the University’s diverse intellectual communities. Each journal maintains its own editorial leadership, disciplinary focus, and peer-review process while forming part of the wider scholarly publishing ecosystem of the MSU-IIT Press.
These journals provide platforms for the production, exchange, and dissemination of rigorous and socially relevant research. They reflect MSU-IIT’s commitment to advancing knowledge across disciplines while creating stronger connections among scholarship, communities, policy, and practice. Through the MSU-IIT Press, we seek to strengthen the visibility, accessibility, and national and international reach of the research published in our journals.
