Call for Book Proposals
The MSU-IIT Press welcomes book proposals from scholars, researchers, practitioners, and writers. We seek original, rigorous, and socially relevant works that contribute to scholarly conversations while engaging the realities, histories, communities, and challenges of Mindanao, the Philippines, and internationally
We are particularly interested in peace and conflict studies; Mindanao Studies; international relations and global affairs; politics and governance; history, language, culture, and society; Indigenous and community studies; gender and development; environment and sustainability; and interdisciplinary and community-engaged scholarship. We equally welcome significant works in the natural sciences, engineering and technology, mathematics, health, and other fields, particularly those that translate research into knowledge with broader scholarly, educational, policy, technological, or societal relevance.
The Press considers proposals for scholarly monographs, edited volumes, textbooks and reference works, research-based professional publications, and other significant academic works. Proposals are evaluated for scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and their potential contribution to their respective fields and audiences. Consistent with the mandate of the MSU-IIT Press, we are especially interested in scholarship that brings locally grounded knowledge into national and global conversations.
